The Congo River Basin covers 3.7 million kilometers in the western part of Southern Africa. It is home to creatures like the Gray Heron, Okapi, Tawny Eagle, Cape Teal and many more.

The Sahara Desert is situated in the North part of Africa. Fennec Fox, Addax and more can live in this area of Africa and withstand its incredible temperatures of up to 172 degrees farenheit.

This penninsula is the northernmost part of the mainland of Antarctic and it is the most prominent penninsula on the continent as well. Animals that can be found here are the Antarctic Fur Seal, Imperial Shag, Southern Elephant Seal, and Snow Petral.

The Himalayan Mountains, or more commonly known as the Himalayas, is a moutain range in the northern part of India. These mountains have some of the highest peaks in the world. The plantlife and animal life here varies with climate, soil, rainfall and altitude. Animals like the Ibex, Snow Leopard, Royal Bengal Tiger, Monal Pheasant and more.

This is a basin of India and Bengladesh which drains into the Bay of Bengal and is about 2,525 km long. Animals that live here include Muggar Crocodile, Indian Lion, Walking Catfish, Ganges River Doplhin and many more.

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world, and covers an area of about 133,000 sq miles. Most species here are only living in water like the Humpback Whale, Dwarf Minke Whale, and Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin. But there are some species like the Green Sea Turtle and Saltwater Crocodile that live on land and in water.

The Central Lowlands covers the Eastern part of Australia. This area is very dry being that rainfall is blocked by the Eastern Highlands. Gumtrees are the most common plant found in Australia. Animals here include the platypus, Red Kangaroo, Rakali, Black Swans and more.

The Pannonian Plain is the lowlands of the Pannonian Basin, the remains of when the Pliocene Pannonian Sea dried up. This area is in East-central Europe. Animals that live here are the Lesser White-fronted Goose, Spoonbill, Ground-nesting Squirrel, and Red-footed Falcon.

This forest, which is in Poland, is one of the largest remaining parts of the primeval forest. Animals here are the Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Pygmy Owl, European Beaver, and Water Vole.

The Rocky Mountains are over 3,000 miles in length and reach from British Columbia in Western Canada to New Mexico. The southern part of the range is home to a mixture of Oaks and Pines. Northern areas have Spurce and Firs. Animals that are found here are Elk, Moose, Black bears, Lynxes, Big Horn Sheep and more.

This canyon was carved by the Colorado River. This canyon is home to 167 species of fungi, 64 species of moss, and 195 species of lichen. The large variety of species is largely due to the 8,000 foot change in elevation. The Lower Sonoran, which spans from the river up to 3,500 feet, give homes to Willows, arrowweed, and catclaw acacia. The canyon tree frog, red spotted toad and Woodhouse's Rocky Mountain toad are the three most common amphibians. Bobcats, Gray foxes and more can be found here.

This is the longest mountain range in the world. It is on the western side of South America and goes from north to south through seven countries. The mountains are dominated by deciduous woodland, scrub and xeric vegetation. Animals include Andean Condor, Andean Goose, Yellow-tailed woolly Monkey, Spectacled Bear, and many more animals can be found here.

This set of islands are set in the Pacific ocean off the coast of South American Ecuador. Animals here include the Blue-footed Booby, Marine Iguana, Waved Albatross, Galapagos Sea Lions and more.

This is the largest ocean, spaning from the Arctic to the Southern Ocean. It's between Asia, Australia, North America and South America. The Marine life includes California Sea Lion, Killer Whale, Tufted Puffin, American Dipper, and Pasific Herring.

This ocean is located in the Northern Hemisphere. It's the smallest and Shallowest of all the five major oceans. Seal, Walrus, Bowhead Whale, and more all take refuge here.

The Southern Ocean encircles Antarctica completly. Squid, Whales, Seals, Krill, 17 species of Penguin and many species of fish live in this ocean.
