Rustic and modern coexist in the unique handmade pieces with recycled elements from the new pallet furniture store Vecchio. The story of this project began when the singer Chela Rivas built a table for her house and her friends were fascinated, among them, the actor and host Germán Otero, who suggested she market this proposal.
“They are vintage furniture made from reclaimed wood, which Brazil Email List has already had a life. We want people to join in caring for the environment, to no longer use new wood furniture to avoid logging,” explains Otero, host of the Art Attack program on the Disney Junior television channel.
“We mainly use four elements: recovered wood, cast iron, quarry and LED lights inside the furniture; “This element contrasts between retro and contemporary design.” To bring the project to life, the artists joined a third silent partner, who, Chela Rivas and Germán Otero say, has a lot of experience in furniture design.
Each Vecchio piece represents a creative challenge for the partners, because it is not easy to find the materials.
“We can use wood from a closet that was no longer useful and we cut them into pieces, collect planks lying on the street or on the road, we go to vacant lots, we have found cemeteries of old iron and recovered very good metal wheels, like from old cars” , says Chela Rivas.
