(I'll start this one short but sweet since I'm the only one in the Sahara Desert at the moment!)
Panthera dashed playfully across the sunbaked sand. Her brother Carnassial was not far behind, but he still struggled to keep up with her swift pace. "Where are you going?!" He called in dismay. She looked back but merely flicked her tail as if to say follow me. As she came up over the hill, the full horizon of the sahara desert came into view, with the sun only just over the sand dunes. Even in the morning, the suns rays are still very hot and blindingly bright. She stopped dead at the top of the hill to admire the beauty of the scenery. Her brother arrived soon after, and flopped down onto the still-cool sand. He flashed her an angry look, "What did you want to come here for anyways?" He asked, still panting. "I wanted to see the sunrise." She replied innocently. Carnassial remained silent, baffled at why anyone would travel so far just to see something as insignificant as a sunrise.

Panthera ignored her brothers stare, but grimaced at the sudden heat of the sun. The sand was beginning to feel hotter under her paws, and she decided it was a good idea to go head back to the burrow. "Lets go back, before we cook to death. Panthera barked, leading the way; Carnassial merely snorted and followed. Panthera dashed quickly over the now-blazing sand, but her tiny paws weren't affected by the heat. The soft fluff around her toes protected her from the scorching heat, and her large ears kept her cool. Up ahead she spotted the large boulder that marked the entrance to their den. It was a prime location, there was an overhanging rocky ledge from the boulder that created a nice shaded area for lounging during the day. She reached the boulder and flopped down in the nice shady spot, her brother Carnassial was not far behind. She heard his stomach growl as he sat, and she realized that she too was feeling the pangs of hunger.
